Left brain, meet right

My work is shaped by a background in molecular biology and veterinary science, holding a PhD in the former. That scientific training grew into an appreciation for the living world, instilling a fascination with the structures, textures, and behaviours of animals and nature. Whether I am painting wildlife, traditional architecture, or the details of everyday objects, I am looking for the patterns and structures that define them. It is a way for me to better understand and appreciate the world around us.

Balancing an analytical eye with colours that avoid hyper-realism, I explore the vitality of nature and the nostalgia of home; things that anchor us to reality - but through a stylised lens.

I am endlessly grateful to those who support and connect with my work. For me, a piece is only truly complete when it leaves my little studio and finds its new home.
