My name is Gina Duggan and I am a self-taught Irish artist. I first picked up a paintbrush in 2019 as a hobby and have been creating vibrant paintings in oil and acrylic ever since.
Based in County Dublin, my practice is shaped by a background in molecular biology, an eye for detail and an appreciation for life’s quieter virtues.
Through the use of technical detail, my paintings explore the intricate structures of nature as well as the familiar comforts of Irish life. My practice is always evolving and by blending observation with a vibrant, intuitive palette, I seek to celebrate the restorative warmth of home, and translate the rhythms of our shared environments into a soulful visual language.
I am endlessly grateful to those who support and connect with my work. To me, the process only feels complete when the work becomes a reflection of its new home - absorbing the energy and identity of the space it now inhabits.
